Autumn trends to watch

Panache Lingerie

Here at Panache we love fashion almost as much as we love lingerie; especially brand new trends we can add to our wardrobe. This season there’s been a plethora of exciting trends that are perfect to brighten up cold, dark winter days like bold florals, geometric prints and embellished, baroque-inspired pieces.

One of the problems with trends, however, is that they come and go; what might be fashionable this season could be considered ugly the next! So what pieces you should invest in this season that will stand the test of time? Here are our top garments to buy that are sure to last you through AW2012 and the rest of 2013!

A tailored trouser suit

This season, tailored trouser suits have been incredibly popular on both the catwalk and high street, covered in a blaze of exciting geometric prints. Investing in a tailored trouser suit that flatters your figure will last through the winter season as well as next year; choose darker, neutral colours over bright prints but keep it interesting with textures like jacquard and lace-type prints. Geometric prints are likely to still be popular next year, though, so how about the Jude Moulded T-shirt bra in a plum and pink pattern to keep with the trend?

A bold, statement jacket

Embellished and baroque-inspired garments are the perfect cure for those dark winter nights, but anything too focused on heavy detailing will be out of fashion by the time April rolls around. Instead, choose a statement jacket that works with your wardrobe; one with snugly-fitted cut – this might be a one with a floral pattern, mesh overlay, menswear details or beaded lapels!

A leather pencil skirt

Luxurious leather is always popular in autumn and winter, but this year the trend focused on oxblood, burgundy and dark, deep red colours. A leather pencil skirt is a fantastic buy, suitable for work and evening wear – try one in a rich chocolate shade or something more caramel-coloured for a useful wardrobe staple. Make sure you keep a smooth silhouette underneath by wearing all-in-one underwear like the ivory Deity Body from Masquerade.

What will you be investing in this season?
