The temperatures may only just be starting to drop, but we’re already looking forward to next summer and all the trends that come with it. Outside of the big four, there are plenty of other Fashion Weeks worth talking about this season too. We’re here to share some of our favourite collections from the likes of Stockholm, Los Angeles and New Zealand.

Stockholm Fashion Week provided many with a healthy dose of minimalism in August. Two of our favourite collections were in a monochrome palette, and the shapes and styling were interesting yet totally wearable. At House of Dagmar, the entire spring/summer 2014 offering was a delight. Sheer, asymmetrical hemlines and the strong range of jackets were the definite highlights, and we loved the overall cool factor. There was a strong medicinal theme at Josefina Larsson; we loved the basic T-shirt dresses in particular. Try pairing one with gladiator sandals next year for a simple yet sweet summer look. In opposition, the slinky outfits at By Malina were heavenly. Making the most of one of next year’s biggest colours, cobalt, the collection was certainly a success.

As were the presentations by the Los Angeles Fashion Council across the pond. Pretty neon dresses were the order of the day at Katharine Kidd and monochrome modernity was effortless at Bohemian Society by Victor Wilde. We can’t wait to wear the feminine paisley-inspired prints as seen at Odylyn. The flowing, Kaftan-style dresses were truly beautiful. Is anyone else dreaming of white sandy beaches now?

Elsewhere, we adored the punk theme at Stolen Girlfriends Club’s show in New Zealand. Leather jackets, sheer printed dresses and red tartan ruled the way, while statement collar dresses offered something fantastically wearable. The best thing about this collection? You can start incorporating its elements this autumn and, by spring, you’ll be wearing the looks like a pro.

Have you been keeping up with spring/summer 2014 fashion weeks? What’s been your favourite collection this season?
