Holiday season is upon us and although it’s a time we all look forward to, many women feel uncomfortable baring their body and putting on swimwear for the first time. Here are our top tips for what swimwear to wear on various types of holiday to ensure women can feel confident no matter what holiday they take. It’s simply about choosing the right styles to suit you and your holiday so you can get that sun-kissed glow and focus on enjoying your break in the sun.
For a relaxing beach holiday, don’t forget to pack a kaftan to go over your chosen swimwear. These are ideal for covering up your shoulders in the midday sun or going for a walk down the beach and help to cover up any of your least favourite bits.
Sailing trips involve a lot of movement, so we would recommend opting for a one-piece. You might find yourself lending a hand winding the sails so you’ll need a suitable outfit for this. It can also get a bit chilly out in the ocean so we’d suggest having something light to cover up. You’re more likely to burn at sea as the sun’s rays reflect off the water, intensifying the sun, so don’t forget the sunblock.
If you’re taking more of a sightseeing or adventurous Safari trip, we think a bikini or tankini worn under a light, long sleeve shirt for daytime exploring is ideal. This way, you can easily take off your shirt for a spot of sunbathing or a dip in a lake throughout the day.
At Panache, we love a pampering spa holiday. We’d opt for a bikini or tankini as a two piece is more flexible to wear during treatments.
For the more action-packed holiday, a one piece is always best. Wearing an unsupportive bikini can be a dangerous choice if you’re doing lots of activities, so we recommend swimwear that will be secure – it will help to avoid any embarrassing disasters. However, wearing one of our supportive bandeau or balconnet bikini tops can be handy for a bit of extra sun-soaking if you get the chance.
